The FLAVIAnet theory group at UB (D. Espriu, V. Magas, A. Parreno, A. Ramos, J. Soto and P. Talavera) is offering a ESR position in the field of particle phenomenology (including lattice QCD) starting in fall 2009 or earlier. The appointment is for 11 months. ESR (Early Stage Researcher) positions require that, at the time of contracting, the candidate should be within the first 4 years after graduation, and NOT have completed her/his PhD. (This is an absolute requirement!) Therefore, young researchers expecting to finish their PhD in 2009, are specially encouraged to apply.
Applications and two reference letters should be send by email in PDF format both to the FLAVIAnet address flavianet@ific.uv.es and to the UB subnode coordinator joan.soto@ub.edu, before 30 December 2008. Applications may still be considered after this date until the position is filled. Further details concerning the exact form of the application can be found at the FLAVIAnet web page http://ific.uv.es/flavianet/

The University of Barcelona node of the I3 HADRON PHYSICS- THEORY NETWORK invites applications for a postdoctoral position beginning anytime between fall 2005 and July 2006. The appointment is for 18 months.
It is intended that the research activities are carried out in collaboration with the theoretical nuclear physics groups of the University of Barcelona and the University of Granada. Our research focusses on hadron reactions at low and intermediate energies, renormalization of hadrons in the medium, hypernuclear physics, etc..., with an especial interest on topics of astrophysical relevance.
Barcelona: A.Parreno, A.Polls, A.Ramos
Granada: J.E.Amaro, E.Ruiz-Arriola, C.García-Recio, A.M.Lallena and J.Nieves
Applicants are asked to send a curriculum vitae, a description of research interests and 2 letters of reference to:
Angels Ramos,
Departament d'Estructura i Constituents de la
Materia,
Facultat de Fisica,
Diagonal 647,
08028-Barcelona,
Spain
e-mail:ramos@ecm.ub.es
Consideration of complete applications will begin on April 15, 2005. However, applications received after that date will also be considered until the position has been filled.
The High Energy Physics Group at ECM is offering 2 postdoctoral positions in the fields of research of the group: Particles, Cosmology, and Strings, to start in fall 2006. Please address your applications (CV, Research Statement, and three reference letters) to:
Josep Maria Pons
Departament d'Estructura i Constituents de la Matèria, Universitat de Barcelona Diagonal 647
E-08028 Barcelona, Spain
The High Energy Physics Group at ECM has a close relationship with the neighboring Gravitation and Cosmology Group at the Dept. of Fundamental Physics, which offers a related postdoc position (see here ).

The Nuclear Theory Group at the Departament d'Estructura i Constituents
de la Materia of the University of Barcelona (Spain) invites applications
for a postdoctoral position. The appointment will initially be for one
year, starting in October 2006. Renewal for a second year is a strong
possibility, contingent on satisfactory progress and funding.
The current members of the group are Mario Centelles, Assumpta Parreño,
Artur Polls, Angels Ramos, and Xavier Viñas, plus several postdoctoral
fellows and doctoral students. Our research interests include a variety
of topics in nuclear and hadron physics theory (structure of stable and
exotic nuclei, nuclear equation of state, renormalization of hadrons in
the medium, fundamental interactions between hadrons, physics of
hypernuclei, etc.), with special emphasis on aspects of astrophysical
relevance.
Please provide a curriculum vitae and a statement of research interests
(in electronic pdf or ps format), and arrange for two letters of
reference to be sent to:
