Configuration interaction calculations of a ten electron quantum dot in a wide range of magnetic field within the fractional quantum Hall (FQH) regime have been made, using single particle wavefunctions that consider the electron-electron interaction. The phase diagram in the FQH regime has been obtained, showing a transition from a localized vortex distribution to a localized particle distribution as the magnetic field is increased. It has been found that the stability of the ground state vanishes in the transition region around filling factor 1/2
