I will discuss the generic issues one encounters when dealing with
resonances in the ChPT framework.
Most of the attention is paid to the baryon sector and in particular
to the role of the Delta(1232)-resonance.
As a result, a new look on the ChPT predictions for nucleon
polarizabilities will be presented.
